Action.

I was told recently by my friends that I talk like a film director. Apparently when I describe something I describe it as if I’m preparing for the first take of a scene. My mom confirmed this yesterday, and I realised that it comes as no surprise. Both my parents are in the film industry, and there are movies of baby me directing my dad where to angle the camera…what a natural.

I honestly don’t know what compelled me to create this blog, I’m probably never going to use it, but if I can release all my thoughts and dwellings into the world via wordpress then so be it. At least they won’t be cooped up any longer.

A few facts about me, why not:

• My name is Macy and my favourite films are The Theory of Everything, Moulin Rouge!, The Shape of Water, Lady Bird, and Pan’s Labyrinth. 
• I have the strangest taste in music….It ranges from 20s jazz to Queen to the 1975 (the namesake for this blog).
• My favourite musical artist is Sleeping at Last (pleasseee go have a listen to Ryan’s music, it’s stunning!)
• I ride horses, and it’s my favourite activity 🙂
• Besides horseback riding, I also play violin and act in lots of plays and some musicals, which I prefer, and hope to do more of in the future.
• Most importantly, I adore astronomy. Yes, I’m a film geek, but the one thing that has my heart more than anything are the stars. I also love math, and though high school math really annoys me, put some nice calculus in front of me and I’ll be very happy 🙂
